How does it work?

We all have clothing in our wardrobes that we haven’t worn in ages! In a world of fast fashion, we now have a lot of stuff – but when it comes to a clear out what do you do to make sure the environment comes off best?

Bag2School has the answer – we’ve been helping schools for over 20 years and in the process paid out over £48 million to PTAs and Friends of School Groups and many other organisations.

1. Register online or by calling us!

Our nationwide fleet of collectors ensures that your school can easily arrange a Bag2School collection. Register through the website or call us at 01609 780 222! We will arrange a mutually agreed date for our van to be at the school to collect the bags, therefore you do not have any storage problems.

2. Promote your collection day!

Promote your collection day and collect as much clothing as possible to raise more funds. We offer promotional material and a lot of tips on our website to help you organise a successful collection.

3. We collect the bags and pay you!

Our driver will load the bags directly onto the van. The collection is then weighed and you will receive payment either on the day or within the week depending upon your postcode area. We pay the best market price available!

4. What happens to the clothes?

The clothes collected from your school are baled into big ‘botany bales’ and then loaded onto trucks for export. Once they arrive at our customer’s factory, they are sorted into 150 different types of clothing depending upon the end market. 5. You're creating more jobs!

The clothing will make journeys all over the world starting their new life! This can be a purpose built second hand store in Eastern Europe or South America, or a market stall in East or West Africa, providing valuable employment for importers, warehouse staff, transport companies and stall holders as well as affordable clothes for local people.
